Uma is an Indian film actress who appeared in regional Indian language films.

Career[edit]

In 2006, she appeared in Sakthi Chidambaram's Kovai Brothers opposite Sibiraj, featuring as Sathyaraj's niece and also featured in Thodamaley alongside newcomers. She also acts in a few serials like Chikamma (the remake of the famous Tamil serial 'Chithi' in Kannada) and Valli (a new Tamil Serial).[1]

Uma was born to D. Rajendra Babu, a commercial director in Kannada films, and actress Sumithra, who appeared in regional Indian films. Her younger sister, Nakshatra, made her debut with the film Doo in 2011. Alongside films, she studied B.A, English literature in Indira Gandhi Open University.[2][3]

She eventually married software engineer H. Dushyanth in Bangalore on 15 June 2006 and opted against signing any more films thereafter.[4]

Mounica is a south Indianfilm and televisionactress. Her big break was in MAATV's show Radha Madhu as Madhu (Madhulika).

Career[edit]

Mounica made her debut in Tollywood with Mahesh Babu starrer Athadu (2005). She also acted in Chukkallo Chandrudu (2006) as the sister of Sadha which brought the opportunity of a lead role in Just Yellow Team's Radha Madhu, which aired on MAATV (2006–08). She won hearts of many with her natural performance.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Mounica has received a lot of lead opportunities in television, including roles in Laya, Raktha Sambandham, Kunkuma Rekha, Arundhathi, Janaki Weds Raghuram, etc.

Mounica acted simultaneously in south Indian films Oka Oorilo, Stalin, Annavaram, Vijayadasami, Josh, Vettaikaran, etc.

She also acted in the TV shows Abhishekam (ETV) and Rama Seetha (Zee Telugu),Ranivasam(GeminiTV) .
